Butterfield's has always been my favorite ice cream shop in Parker but the quality has gone downhill recently. I have previously ordered their ice cream cakes for special occasions. I picked up a cake yesterday. I was expecting writing on the cake, not chocolate block letters. There was nothing else to decorate with and I was never asked. I was charged additional for the lettering AND the frosting! Cake doesn't include anything on the outside?!? The inside had two layers of ice cream, nothing in-between. It was literally just ice cream. The ice cream tastes good, but I won't be buying a cake from them again.

"Delicious ice cream and decently priced!" Got the Oreo Carmel and absolutely loved it. The overall atmosphere of the establishment feels warm and welcoming. However, I left wanting more from the workers in terms of customer service. I would recommend this place to friends & family and will likely come here again in the future.

Have been a frequent customer for years so it was a no brainer to have them prepare ice cream for our wedding. I asked the owner at least 3 times for an invoice for 5 gallons of ice cream. The owner kept saying he would email or text, never did give a price, but ensured the ice cream would be ready. When I went to pick it up was flabbergasted that I was charged $48.00 a gallon.

The best ice cream in Colorado. The salted Snickers makes you want to slap your knee. They Are generous with the portions too. Fair price and quality product.

Hands down the most delicious ice cream I have ever had! I love supporting a local family business! I have never had anything I didn’t like. The lemon cream ice cream as well as the seasonal palisade peach ice cream are my favourites! We’ve skipped dinner for Butterfield’s multiple times because it’s that good!

Loved it. Very cute homey local feel inside with delicious homemade ice cream. Loved that my fave was gluten free (cappuccino chocolate chip). The staff were quick and friendly. Can’t believe after living here for 4 years we’ve never been here, we will definitely be back.

I know someone who could run the shop better. Where does one start? The quality has gone downhill severely since the change in ownership. As we entered, the shop itself was questionable in cleanliness and overall upkeep. Surfaces were very clearly dirty, and although still legible, it was evident that the labels for the flavors had not been replaced in some time. If the front of the house wasn't well taken care of, I began to shudder when thinking of what the back looked like. This lack of attention to health and safety became a much greater issue after returning home. We had ordered two regular scoops and a milkshake, as well as two pints to take home. The scoops had the consistency of soft-serve, as another reviewer has pointed out, and the flavor just wasn't the same as before the management change. Both flavors (Lychee and S'mores, respectively) had their own unique and unwanted aftertaste that made us hesitate to finish them. As they melted further, the consistency became that of water rather than melted ice cream. However, a member of our party complained of a particularly heinous aftertaste that got worse as he got farther through his shake. After some discussion, we came to realize something. Had gone. Sour. We determined this to be the whipped cream and immediately threw out the shake. One quick call to the store later, it turns out the expiration date was sometime in the spring of this year (several months prior to the writing of this review). They didn't offer any compensation for the expired shake either, aside from their sympathies. The staff were friendly and wore gloves, but did not wash their hands to our knowledge, and no hair nets were being used, or even aprons for that matter. Over all, I would not grace this facility with your business, but if this isn't convincing enough for you, then sort the reviews by most recent.

Went to Butterfield's last night with the family. The servers all teens were rude, and kept rolling their eyes at us as we couldn't decide what we wanted as they said they were out of the Coconut Chunk. This behavior towards customers was unacceptable. The teen girl with the long dark hair was the worst. They were also out of many flavors. The scoops they gave us were not sized the same and we paid too much for them. While we were paying they told us they were closing this was close to 8pm. The door sign said 9pm, but they couldn't wait to get us out and get cleaning up. We will not be returning.
