The location is near the Camino de Santiago. It is a short stroll to the village and its restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. My bike was safely secured overnight. The room was of a decent size. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good. I had no complaints.

Lovely little historic town. Unfortunately this hotel is on the edge of town and seems to be part of/next to a petrol station! Absolutely awful! Rooms were very poorly decorated and very very tired. Welcome to the 70s! Retro chic it ain't. The temp in the room was excruciatingly hot. The room had a lovely view of the motorway! Not recommended! Something positive, erm - there's a small fishing museum in the main reception......

I've been reminiscing about my Camino Frances walk in April/May 2015. I have a very fond memory of Hotel El Paso Honroso. While reading some of the other reviews, I feel that justice hasn't been done and feel guilty for not reviewing it at the time. So, in retrospect, here goes. ||After a long (31.6 K), windy, hot, painful day on the Camino, we walked into Hospital de Orbigo only to find out that the hotel that​ I'd booked ahead was a Kilometer back the way we came. So, back we go. ||When we saw the outside, my heart sank. It was part of a gas station right on the highway. At this point, we had no options so, in we go. What a pleasant surprise once inside! We received such a friendly greeting! And, hot, tired and weary from our long day, the elevator to our third floor room and​ an on-site restaurant were a big plus. ||The restaurant was amazing. The beer was served in frosted mugs (the one and only time that was the case on the entire Camino), the bread was fresh and warm from the oven and the food was good. Our room was clean, comfortable, had a great shower and good Wi-Fi. You can't ask for more on the Camino. Oh and did I mention, I'd lost my phone, ran an extra half mile to retrieve it and it was my birthday?! A perfect ending to a disastrous day.|||

Misled by the incorrect map in our guidebook, we pre-booked a room at the hotel thinking that it was near the old town and consequently had some difficulty finding it. It is about a kilometre from the historic bridge and on the busy N 120, next to a petrol station. Handy for motorists but not so much for pilgrims, so we thought.||||As it was Saturday night, once we got to the hotel, we decided to stay rather than go back into the town centre. This turned out to be very good decision. There was a huge motorcycle rally and the partying and riding over the bridge went on into the early hours. Pilgrims who managed to get accommodation in the town centre got very little sleep!||||We had a very warm, comfortable and quiet night's rest in what we would regard as a highway motel in Australia. Our room faced away from the highway so that road noise was not an issue. Beds were comfortable, there was plenty of wardrobe space, a desk and wall mounted TV. The bathroom had a huge bath and was very warm.||||An added bonus was the fishing museum and shop, well worth a look. We had a few drinks in the bar and found the staff friendly and helpful on a very busy night.||||Just be aware that you need to make arrangements the night before if you want to leave early as the hotel is locked and you cannot exit before 7am (8am on the Sunday that we left).

We were doing the Camino de Santiago and thought this would be a good place to stat. The location is terrible. It is next door to a gas station, so all night you hear people going In and. Although the people working at the desk were nice, nothing could have changed the location, the size of the rooms, the uncomfortable mattress, the furnishings, etc. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was the worse amongs the 20 hotels in Which we stayed

Stayed here on our Camino trip and it was grand. The staff were nice & helpful & the food in the restaurant was nice & not expensive. It was cheap enough & we found it adequate for our stay. The town is lovely & well worth a stop off on the Camino. This hotel was nice for our stay.

Good for the night during the Camino. Facing the road, there is only a gas station and the restaurant. Strongly recommend the restaurant, great food and friendly staff, good price.||The rooms are ok size and clean. There is no breakfast included but restaurant opens early morning and honest food!

Stayed here as it was the only hotel available in this small town on the camino to Santiago. If you want to be woken up by seating heat from the radiators and underfloor heating throughout the night then this is the place for you. If you like a mouldy bath and a weird fishing museum in the lobby then you'll love it. We were locked in too when we needed to leave. Abysmal.
